ILINJE MONASTERY (dedeicated to St. Eliah)

Situated in the immediate vicinity of Ovčar Banja – Spa, on a hillside above Blagoveštenje Monastery, Ilinje Monastery was raised in 1939 on the site of an older one. St. Nikolaj Velimirović began its restoration. The monastery celebrates the St. Eliah`s Day on 2, August. On this day, large councils are held at the Monasteries of Ilinje and Blagoveštenje and in Ovčar Banja – Spa alone.
