KADJENICA CHURCH – CAVE (smoke burnt)

Got its name according to one sad event during the Hadži Prodan uprising. Namely, the people took shelter in this cave, but the Turks found them, put straw and branches at the entrance and set it all on fire, so that the people inside the cave choked. In 1936, their bones were collected and buried in the same cave in two stone sarcophaguses and the Christ Crucifixion made in the altar apse.
