USPENIJE MONASTERY (The Assumption)

Uspenje Monastery was raised on the left bank of the Zapadna Morava in 1939, on the northern slopes of Mount Kablar. Today's church was built on the basis of the old monastery. In the vicinity of the present monastery, on a hill rising above Jovanje Monastery, Kulina location, with the remains of a square-shaped tower and an object of a rectangular foundation leaning against a cliff, can also be seen. The monastery was renewed and consecrated on 23, September, 2001.
