VAVEDENJE MONASTERY (presentation of the Virgin Mary in the Church)

Together with church Vavedenje of the Virgin Mary, Monastery Vavedenje is situated on the right bank of the Zapadna Morava. According to myth, this monastery was erected by Stevan Nemanja and his son St. Sava. It was first mentioted in 1525 and restored in 1874. It possesses rare old books, with the Belgrade Four Evangelists from 1552. Patron St. Day is Vavedenje, December, 4th.
