VAZNESENJE MONASTERY (dedicated to the Ascention of the Lord)

Restored on the ruins of the old monastery church, located on the southern slope of Mount Ovčar. Two marble rosettes, ornamented with plant ornamentals, preserved on the church floor and in its the middle space, which evidences that the monastery has existed since the 16th century. Of the manuscrzpts, the Four Evangelists, rewritten in 1570, has been preserved in the monastery. Patron St. Day is the Ascention of the Lord (in May).
